Two Teenagers Involved in Fatal I-70 Crash
A car chase resulted in the death of two youth early last month on I-70. The two, a Brandon Gross, 18, and Taylor Parsons, 17, both died at the scene. The car they were driving was identified as a 2002 silver Nissan, and it is alleged by the police that there was an earlier altercation at a nearby park which led to the two boys getting in a car and on the highway in an attempt to get away to safety. Three other individuals were also in the car and were ejected from it at the time of the accident, ending up with severe injuries. Police also state that all car occupants were not wearing seatbelts. The accident happened when the driver tried to swerve to the right in order to cross three lanes in an attempt to make a highway exit.
Armstrong County Car Crash Leads to Loss of Life
On April 12th, a middle aged Smethport woman lost her life after suffering fatal injuries in a car crash that involved 3 vehicles. The accident which happened in Armstrong County led to five other motorists suffering injuries, and the cars involved were a Jeep Commander, Ford Mustang and a GMC Acadia. The 51-year-old unnamed woman was ejected from the car as the passenger, and was pronounced dead at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. The woman was later identified as Kimberly Ann Gore, a Smethport native.
Two People Die in Knox County Accident
Over at Knox County, two people died on U.S. 41 in the early morning hours of April 13th, with one person sustaining injuries after an accident occurred near the town of Oaktown. The two that died were both identified as males, with the third injury victim as female. Law enforcement believe that the accident was caused in part by 30-year-old Anayeli Camacho who didn’t yield the right of way when a 2004 GMC Yukon passed by her vehicle on U.S. 41. Camacho is alleged to have been driving without ever receiving a driver’s license, leading to authorities booking and charging her. The names of the two males that died are Stephen Hines, 70, and Ricky Hackle, 63, who both hailed from Jasonville Indiana.
