Although he grew up in Connecticut and studied in Virginia, Michael McCready is proud to have called the Midwest home for over 20 years.
He attended the University of Richmond where he received his undergraduate degree (cum laude!) in only three years. While in college, he paved his own way by delivering flowers, arranging landscapes, and even testing out his music chops working as a DJ for the college radio station. He enjoyed his time at the University so much that he stayed in Richmond to earn his law degree, graduating in 1992.
After graduation, Michael gained valuable field experience while working for a federal judge in Virginia. Soon after, he moved to Chicago to work at a local firm handling personal injury cases. In four short years, he became a partner at the firm; however, in 1999, he decided to step away from his position and found his own firm: The Law Offices of Michael P. McCready & Associates.
Michael always knew he wanted to serve individuals, not companies, so he founded his firm on this resolve. Because of his dedication to each individual client, since its founding, his firm has expanded rapidly and has secured thousands of settlements for clients, ensuring that they receive what is rightfully theirs.
He is licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois, and Virginia, as well as in the federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court! He takes his responsibility of protecting individual’s rights very seriously and is a member of many professional organizations dedicated to this purpose. He has even been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum, a group that’s membership is limited to trial lawyers who have obtained million dollar results for their clients. It’s quite an honor!
Michael always likes to stay busy, whether it’s making memories with his family or fixing things around his house and office; he is a very hands-on man. He is never afraid to take on a new project and see it through to its resolution. Friends and colleagues alike have described him as steadfast, helpful, and determined. His education and life experience give him a unique perspective on the world, and he uses this perspective to help others.
